Meet Our Team

Eva Cudmore, Transitional Pastor

Rev. Eva Cudmore was educated at Stockholm School of Theology she was ordained 1997 in what was then The Covenant Church of Sweden, (Svenska Missionskyrkan) now Uniting Church of Sweden.

Since her initial ordination and subsequent transfer to the US, she has extensive ministry experience, both here in the US as well as in Sweden. She has served as associate pastor, co-pastor, lead pastor, interim and transitional pastor. Her most recent position was as transitional minister in North Easton, MA. (Jan 2019- Dec 2020)

She lives in Cromwell with her husband Richard, and together they have four adult children: Greta, Cedrik, Ian, and Karl.

Michael Meurs, Minister of Music

Mr. Meurs is a certified music educator with a background in choral conducting and elementary music education. Mr. Meurs has 10 years of experience in teaching in both Waterbury and Regional School District #13. During his time in the education system he has been involved with producing and directing choral concerts and musicals at the elementary and middle school level. Mr. Meurs also is heavily involved with the Connecticut Higher Order Thinking Schools (H.O.T.S) program which focus on arts integration into the classroom. He feels that all subjects are connected and should be taught not as separate ideas, but as connected thoughts. Mr. Meurs is graduate of the University Of Connecticut with a Bachelor Of Arts in Music and a Masters of Music Education from the University of Bridgeport. From 2012 to 2014, Mr. Meurs had been a tenor section leader, then the Director of Music at the First Congregational Church of Waterbury. He and his family reside in Durham.

Aren Alberico, Administrator

Mr. Alberico currently serves as the Office Administrator for Middlefield Federated Church and United Churches of Durham, and also holds the role of Office Administrator at Mount Carmel Congregational Church in Hamden, where he is an active member of the congregation. In his administrative capacity, Mr. Alberico is responsible for a wide range of duties essential to the daily life and ministry of the churches. These responsibilities include drafting the weekly worship bulletin, compiling and editing the monthly Crossroads Connection newsletter, managing church calendars and schedules, maintaining and updating church websites, and providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support.

Mr. Alberico studied at Fairfield University and aspires to complete his degree in Religious Studies. He hopes to further discern a call to ordained ministry and pursue a future vocation within the clergy.
